What to Expect

Thank you for visiting our website! You probably have some questions that brought you here. You might be…
– merely curious about Christianity & church, or
– something has changed in your life creating a desire to connect to God, or
– you are a committed follower of Christ who might be new to the area.

Whatever your unique situation, we are excited that you are considering dropping by for a service at Community Baptist Church. You are both welcome and wanted here.

When Should I Visit for a Service?

The best service to attend on your first visit would be our 10:00 a.m. Sunday service. You’ll probably want to arrive about 10 minutes before 10:00 a.m. or earlier if you have children.

Where Should I Park and Enter the Facility?

You can park either on our Center Street on-street parking area or in our parking lot. You can enter the parking lot from either South Riding Boulevard or Center Street. Parking in these locations will have you near either the west Front Entrance or the north Fellowship Hall Entrance.

At either entrance you will find greeters wearing a gold identification badge who will meet you at the door. They will provide you with any information you may need.

What Happens at Church?
Our morning service will revolve around two major activities:
– musical tribute to our God as we worship Him, and
– study of His Word to learn about Him and His love for us.

You will be able to relax and enjoy our service. You will not be singled out or find yourself uncomfortable.

What About the Kids?
We are pro-family and believe that a vital part of a child’s life is their memory of being with their parents in church services – participating in the singing and listening to God’s Word preached. These memories can be priceless throughout their lives. Your children are welcome to be with their family in our auditorium.

However, we also realize that children sometimes need time to learn to sit during a service. That’s why we built two rooms at the back of the auditorium that can provide a place for families whose children are not quite ready to sit quietly during the service. The large glass viewing windows will allow you to be part of the service and relieve any concern about your children’s “wiggles.”

We also provide a Nursery and Children’s Church for families with babies and young children who will benefit from this service. All our workers are members of the church and have been through a certification process that includes passing a background check before serving in any nursery, children or youth ministry.

What Should I Wear?
We care more about you than your preferred style of clothing. Some attend with casual outfits and some wear their “Sunday best.” You will not be judged for dressing too casual or too dressy.

Am I Expected to Make a Donation?
No, not at all. Our members will invest in God’s Kingdom work through an offering but that is the only part of the service that you will be asked to not participate in!
Other parts of our website will allow you to discover our children, youth and adult ministries.

We hope to meet you this Sunday.
