Nursery & Children Ministries

We love kids!
CBC is pleased to offer exciting nursery & children ministries to our families. We are committed, as parents, to work together and support one another by providing balanced family oriented ministries. Our ministries, rather than taking the place of parents, are parents working together. We help one another in nurturing our children as they develop:

• Mentally
• Physically
• Spiritually
• Socially
Throughout each of our ministry programs, we strive to grow our children in the likeness of Jesus Christ. He is our standard of behavior and belief.

Let’s make our children’s earliest church memories rich and meaningful!

We Earn Your Trust
All adults who serve in our nursery and children’s ministries are members of the church who have been screened via our certification program which includes background checks and interviews. Those who serve are re-certified annually.

We’re Family Friendly!
At CBC we recognize that nursery and children’s ministries cannot, and should not, replace dad and mom in passing your faith to your children.
“And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. [6] And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: [7] And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.” Deuteronomy 6:5-7.

That is why we encourage families to sit together, worship together and serve God together throughout our ministries.

An important role of CBC is to minister to dads and moms — helping them and encouraging them to mentor their children in the faith every day. We have made a commitment to provide programs that build family cohesiveness. A tool we have made available for dads & moms at home is the Articles of Faith Catechism. This Q&A booklet matches CBC’s Articles of Faith.

Are you teaching your children what they need to know about God’s Word and what it contains?

In our Sunday morning and evening services you will find families sitting together in the auditorium. Children are observing their parents worshiping God. Families are singing together. We are passing our faith to our children!

Nursery for birth through age 2 is available at all services.

On Sunday morning, families who choose to place their young children in a “children’s church service” may do so. On Sunday evenings children worship with their family in the auditorium.

Sunday School
Sunday School is an opportunity for families to help one another pass their faith to children. For the Bible study hour children are in age-appropriate classes where they learn God’s Word utilizing a “Through-the-Bible” revolving   curriculum. Sunday School meets weekly on Sundays from 9:00 to 9:45 am.

Children’s Church
Children through age 8 are welcome to participate in Children’s Church services which meets during our morning service on Sundays at 10:00 am. On Sunday evenings children sit in church and worship with their parents in the auditorium. Nursery is available for all of our services.

Children’s Character-Building Clubs
Happy kids sing! Our PeeWee Pirate and Patch the Pirate clubs meet Wednesdays from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Children’s clubs stress character building Bible-memory and music. The music they learn is periodically presented during a Sunday morning church services.

Summer Camp
What would a hot summer be without camp? Kids love the hiking, sports, music, crafts, swimming and worship experiences that are all a part of summer camp. We take our kids to   Rapidan Baptist Camp where they interact with Christian kids from other churches in a professional camp environment.

Special Events
We offer special events for kids throughout the year…

  • seasonal parties,
  • kids revival,
  • high-energy game nights.

It is our desire to provide parents with tools they can use to pass their faith to their children 24/7/365. Can we help you raise your kids to know God and serve Him throughout their lives?
